Restaurants and drivers are already furious. The remote US based workers are pretty much told to f off, and the outsourcing in the Philippines Door Dash can give them benefits, a new call center and weekly good pay.

US workers pay has always been on the low side. A slap in the face to us.

If you have a food allergy, good luck with that. These people in the Philippines cannot pronounce the items correctly, much less mention and alert of any severe food allergies.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

I just got off the phone with dasher support and they kept saying they weren’t able to help me from their location. This had never been the case before.

They kept saying we have to check with HQ in San Francisco.

So I asked where they were located now and they said the Philippines. This is ridiculous.

Work with Door Dash for 4 years, It was great to help this company get off the ground but then pay went down, was given crumbs because the outsource usa to Philippines. Now they have got rid of ALL United States order placer.

The did not give a heads up. OP went down and everyone thought something was wrong on their side because this has happen before. it was around 7pm and the next day it was still down. Emails was send then finally BOOM!

email, it literally said Thanks for you service but we no longer want or need USA order placer.

Their HQ are still located in the United State So I guess with the Big Tax Cut Corporation got, the took it and took our jobs and ship over seas. Make American Great Again!

Please share the details and maybe DD could be a better place for everyone if everyone worked together , instead of Us workers being kept in the dark about everything ! The only facts that our public record that Doordash has outsourced to the Philippines and also many complaints about the workers their being messed up on drugs while working and poor English and not knowing the food to order! Thank you

Before you open your mouth please make sure that you know all the details in the Philippines. You'll be surprised if you know what the employees are doing.

:) Don't judge and hate until you know for sure what you are talking about. And also, mind your spellings and grammar. It's really a slap in the face if American's can't even do this simple things.

Just saying. :)

Haha "this simple things"? It's "these simple things".

English is obviously not your first language.

You should study the language more before you try to correct someone. LOL

If you comment only to correct someone's grammar then you've already lost.

So sad but true. DoorDash order placers in the US are paid 0.40 cents per order.

It goes up a few cents every 20 orders you place but most don't even make enough to survive. All of the staff, supervisors, trainers etc. moved to the Philippians. They could care less about customer orders because most restaurants complain about not being able to understand the order placers from the Philippians therefore customers are receiving incorrect orders.

We are left with no one to supervise or even train new employees from the US.

Oh, and did I mention the order placers from the US work from home with no benefits. They are completely ignored and left to handle every single customer order on their own.

Ad ling as they state their allergy in the special instructions for the item, they will be fine. This is how a restaurant knows either to sub it out or take out the ingredient.

It is the customers responsibility to put those instructions on their order. Now, if the instructions are not followed by the restaurant then it is on their shoulders and will need to remake the order without getting paid for it.

Let's be clear they could care less about your food allergies. DoorDash is a very shady company:

As a driver I'm telling you that if your worried about food allergies, use another service because it will not be handled properly nor will DoorDash or the Restaurant compensate you and here's why:

I posted this on this site as a review also.

DoorDash Abuse of Drivers - A response to a pissed customer - The truth about Driving for DoorDash

First off lets get the facts straight.

The drivers are not allowed to check the containers, they are only allowed to deliver what is given to then and thats it. Second DoorDash is a middle man, with an app service and a call center. They don't prepare the food, they just provide a service, to deliver the food. They are based in California with a call center that calls in your orders.

As a matter of fact most orders are screwed up though the call center first and then at the restaurant second. The driver has nothing to do with that at all.

Most restaurants don't have a clue DoorDash even placed an order because DoorDash uses some very unethical practices, one of them being: listing restaurants which they have no working relationship with or agreement at all in there app. Two calling in under your name or an assumed name. They don't even want most drivers to say they are from DoorDash if the order is from a non partner restaurant and that just the beginning of the shadiness.

Such as price hikes, very little screening most drivers, stealing wages, penalizing drivers for app based malfunctions, ect, ect, ect. The list is very long. I wont even get into how horrible the Dasher app is for the drivers. The many issues of missing pay when you only get 5 dollars a delivery and make less that min wage ( for the record we don't get 100% of the tips if you only get one or two order per hour: $5 + 10% tip of a $10 order = $6 per hour less than min wage).

The false advertisement of tips when you only get a 1 dollar tip after being told to go 20 miles out the way to pick up a 10 dollar order will take an hour. Even if you are lucky to be in a Zone or market (which aren't many) where you get a base min of $10 + tips it still doesn't happen because they include the tip as part of the base to make it $10 ($5 +$1 tip= $6+$4 extra pay = $10 notice the tip is no longer a tip its calculated as part of the base it should be $11). So in actuality they stole the tip from you. Plus the fact that the order was never placed or ready when you get there, but yet a driver is supposed to get it to the customer within an hour and its 20 miles back in the other direction across the city, which isn't even in your designated Dash Zone.

So if you think you have problems with customer support, get in line.... There are literally hundreds to now thousands of drivers still waiting to hear from support about missing pay, missing hours, and horrible support service and most of all a driver Dasher app so unusable, that a five year old could design one better than (maxdc.co.). Which by the way the app doesn't even include any of the features it claims to help driver. It all more false claims by DoorDash.

There is now a large group of drivers coming out to expose DoorDash for the crooks they really are and banning together for a class action suite. So consider your self lucky your only missing two items and got a coupon. It's a whole lot better than missing two week worth of wages, from a DoorDash Just google DoorDash Driver Complaints. Employee Complaints or In and Out Burger Sues DoorDash, just for a start.

So don't trust your allergies or health to a company like this. *** this helps.

It's not my allergies. I was a customer service representative in Oregon before they uprooted the company from the call center I worked at. I was just simply stating for the customer and dashers alike.

Also, regarding dashers...they are not to touch the food however they can have the restaurant employee open the lid to the food container (if the food is in that kind of container) so they can look to see if everything ordered is there. Most of the time the dashers just grab and go. I couldn't tell you how many times I had to call a Dasher and tell them to turn around and go back to the restaurant because they grabbed the wrong bag of food.

if you have food allergies, and your life depends on it. I would suggest to order it in person. This service is probably not a best fit then :)
