Restaurants and drivers are already furious. The remote US based workers are pretty much told to f off, and the outsourcing in the Philippines Door Dash can give them benefits, a new call center and weekly good pay.
US workers pay has always been on the low side. A slap in the face to us.
If you have a food allergy, good luck with that. These people in the Philippines cannot pronounce the items correctly, much less mention and alert of any severe food allergies.
Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Door dash customer service sucks. The drivers are awful
Aww not all of us drivers are awful.
First of all if customers tipped better or even at least $2 not some chump change then you would get better service. Secondly the merchant usually makes the drivers wait and cause the delivery time to be late. There are some bad drivers and I have to deal with their bad performance so not all drivers are bad thanks from a concerned top dasher
I work for doordash as a driver. Customer service in the Philippines is terrible.
They donโt understand much of what you tell them plus they lie a lot. They say anything to get through the call. Additionally Doordash claims their computer algorithm is dispatching orders but I think people are doing it. There are some very weird things hat.
That happen sometimes which a computer wouldnโt do.
The other day none of us had orders for two hours and when it finally started again, the restaurants had a backup of orders to be taken out. Doordash doesnโt even have the decency to tell people the system crashed but it happens so often itโs probably embarrassing for them.
I work for doordash and I can't understand them at all. Today I asked the rep if she was in the U S or a different country.
She said San Francisco and born there. I call bs on that. I can tell she speaks a different language.
So she was lying outright. So Annoying!

I have ordered twice and have had severe difficulties understanding what the call people are saying. FYI - I speak FIVE languages, can understand pretty much any accent, and rarely need the undertitles on TV to understand conversations.
When outsourcing companies hire staff without discernible language skills in the language they're speaking (eg: English) that means they're not providing tutoring or training to improve language skills.
It also means they are likely paying these people 1/20th of what anyone else in their country makes. Paying so much to DoorDash for in fees (Service fees "to support our company") and getting such poor customer service is typical of business policies in the US today.

I just got off the phone with dasher support and they kept saying they werenโt able to help me from their location. This had never been the case before.
They kept saying we have to check with HQ in San Francisco.
So I asked where they were located now and they said the Philippines. This is ridiculous.

Work with Door Dash for 4 years, It was great to help this company get off the ground but then pay went down, was given crumbs because the outsource usa to Philippines. Now they have got rid of ALL United States order placer.
The did not give a heads up. OP went down and everyone thought something was wrong on their side because this has happen before. it was around 7pm and the next day it was still down. Emails was send then finally BOOM!
email, it literally said Thanks for you service but we no longer want or need USA order placer.
Their HQ are still located in the United State So I guess with the Big Tax Cut Corporation got, the took it and took our jobs and ship over seas. Make American Great Again!

Please share the details and maybe DD could be a better place for everyone if everyone worked together , instead of Us workers being kept in the dark about everything ! The only facts that our public record that Doordash has outsourced to the Philippines and also many complaints about the workers their being messed up on drugs while working and poor English and not knowing the food to order! Thank you

Before you open your mouth please make sure that you know all the details in the Philippines. You'll be surprised if you know what the employees are doing.
:) Don't judge and hate until you know for sure what you are talking about. And also, mind your spellings and grammar. It's really a slap in the face if American's can't even do this simple things.
