DoorDash customers feel entitled
I am one of the highest rated dasher in my city and done over 500 deliveries. The one thing that really *** me off is customers who expect you to deliver in their high rise buildings or apartments.
First, it is very hard to find parking in the city. Secondly, they expect you to come up to their floor; which is fine in some cases but sometimes it's very hard to navigate the building. It's like solving a puzzle sometimes, with food in your hand. And then most buildings/apartments have a secure entry, so you need to find the call box with their name and then there are multiple people with same name etc.
Example: I reached at a building for delivery and try to find the customer in the directory so she can buzz me up. There were multiple people with that name, so I call her obviously. She literally tells me there are multiple people with that name, I mean are you dumb !? If you know that, can't you include that in the instructions.
Then they give you bad rating for that. And sometimes the instructions are so long, it's like reading a book.
I mean seriously, younger generation in this country needs to get a grip and think hard about their life. Don't you have a decency to just come down and collect your food, lazy people.
