DoorDash takes customer orders and then guarantees a time before assigning a driver. They basically just go on the assumption that someone will pick the order up. Mind you, they don't pay gas, they don't pay by the hour, which of course lowers driver incentive. Not to mention, they will assign an order regardless of where the driver is as long as they're in the "area", which could be a 15 mile radius. Then they don't always inform the customer that A) they have not found a driver, and B) That the driver is located far/will take longer. Lastly, if food has been prepared and they still haven't found a driver, guess what else they won't do? They won't inform the restaurant so there's no guarantee that your food is even being kept on a hot plate, let alone remade if lots of time has passed.
I understand the frustration. Just know that it is likely to the fault of the company, and not your driver.
