Ordered dinner from DoorDash as it was a bit late and I had a hungry family. We decided on Denny’s which is a 10 minute drive.
The driver, conveniently drove past the house before I could run out and stop him. He swiped that we were unavailable and left the food at a front desk. Unfortunately, we don’t have a front desk. So he marked delivered, and we had no food to show for it.
Driver is Edgar from Hemet/San Jacinto area.
To add insult to injury, I contacted DoorDash to explain what just happened. After giving all of the information, I was promptly offered a refund without an option for redelivery. Refund will be in 10 days. I was told by the CSR “This refund is a one time courtesy.” One time courtesy?
For not delivering my food. Anyways, this was the last nail in the coffin as I was an avid DoorDash user, and was treated second rate.
They are facing several lawsuits for bad business practices.
My advice? Steer clear of this company.
