He arrived to pick up an order, which was not ready when he arrived. We got very busy around the time the order was placed, and our kitchen got backed-up! So the order was late getting ready. I get that this is upsetting, but these things happen and all any of us can do is wait, and help the kitchen with what we are able to. He proceeded to pace and show his frustration, mumbling at times so we could not hear him. The manager did apologize to him and explained what was happening, and that we were working on it as fast as we can!

We aren't "contracted" through door-dash, so we have no idea who the order is for, just a first name.

When I came to the counter he commented that is was OUR fault his ratings had dropped, because he was supposedly in the day before and said he had the same problem, and we were the cause of his ratings. I went to the website and ratings do not change that quickly, it takes a couple weeks to even out. And that's IF the customers put in a review good or bad.

I explained to him that we were doing the best we can, and that our kitchen is small. he said no, i will show you my phone. So he goes out to his car to get his phone, and comes back in. BUT on the way in/out, he told every guest he passed how pissed he was, and how horrible we are!

SO he comes up to the counter and is shoving his phone in my face, and after him bad mouthing us to the customers, i became not so professional, and told him he was being disrespectful as we almost have his order ready!

He later called the Manager and told them that I was a bad *** attitude, okay.

One of our regulars was walking in when he went to his car and said his wife and kids were in the car. Now THIS explains why customers complain about the CONDITION of their orders. WHY are his kids and wife in the car while he is Dashing? Is this why he was in such a hurry, and had to call back and complain some more. FOR WHAT?

I hope he never comes back

I can not reach anyone on the phone lines, it is nothing but a big circle that goes nowhere ! Door dash is not accredited by the BBB and have a poor rating .

Being accredited by BBB is only if the business pays the extortion fee from BBB. However, as a driver.

If your business has a tablet it is best to rate and report the driver. This helps to quickly get them off the road. Although it is very upsetting if orders are late. It is not a means to be rude to employees.

Typically it is best to be upfront about the time. So we can relay it to your customer. If it is too long (30-60 min) we can remove the order (with completion rate penalty) as long as we are told quickly. This sends another driver to pick it up a a delay due to them having to drive there.

Please follow up with Doordash directly because drivers like this give us a bad name. Yes, restaurants being late does quickly damage our ratings, especially if they are new drivers. If you have a tablet there is a way to extend the time to let the customer know and the driver will not get penalized on their time rating.

Pressing order is ready for pick up also impacts our ratings if the order is not ready. Hope this helps.
