I ordered a meal for 6 people at 1PM for a scheduled delivery of 6.45PM to 7.15PM in order to beat or head off any problems due to the restaurant being busy. At 7.09PM I received a text from door dash stating that "we've had to cancel your order with [restaurant name here] today due to an unexpected restaurant closure."
I called the restaurant and they were, of course, open but busy.
They were not closed and door dash figured I'd be too *** to verify their claim.
I guess door dash decided the order wasn't worth their time and trouble. For a company to decide that lying to their customers is an acceptable business practice is astounding.
