I cannot believe that DOORDash is allowed to RIP off customers to this extent. I will NEVER be using their services again. The fact that they are allowed to upcharge someone to the extent of over 1/3 the total cost of their order is RIDICILOUS and adding additional taxes – HOW is that even legal????
And goodness knows if you try and contact them. They do not make it easy to do so – no actual contact information on their site.
I placed a Portillo's orders for our office via Doordash. The total came to 89.93. This did not include the tip for the driver. I paid that in cash.
Here is the breakdown of the door dash receipt:
Subtotal from Doordash:
Delivery Fee: 1.99
Service Fee: 7.64
The portillos receipt was left in the bag:
Food subtotal: 49.08
Total order 51.58
So that means Doordash just charged me S38.35, in food upcharges, taxes and fees on a single order. I WILL NEVER NEVER be utilizing their services again.
That should be ILLEGAL!!!
Reason of review: Pricing issue.
Monetary Loss: $38.
Preferred solution: Price reduction.
